Camarillo isn’t just a city we serve; it’s where BRG Demolition is based. Our office is at 1601 Carmen Dr, Suite 110C, so when you call about a teardown in Spanish Hills, a kitchen gut in Mission Oaks or a slab removal near Old Town, the crew and equipment are local, not making the drive in from across the county. We’re a licensed California contractor (CSLB #1096336), and we work for Camarillo homeowners, property owners, general contractors and developers.

What to know before demolition in Camarillo
Every job is different, but these are the items we check on almost every Camarillo bid:
- City permit. For properties inside city limits, demolition permits go through the City of Camarillo’s Building & Safety Division. Properties just outside the city, such as Somis and other unincorporated areas, go through the County of Ventura instead. Rules vary by parcel; we’ll check with the city or county before we start. The owner or GC usually pulls the permit, but we can pull it for you.
- Asbestos survey and air district notice. Camarillo is in Ventura County, so demolition and renovation fall under the Ventura County Air Pollution Control District (Rule 62.7). Older homes and buildings usually need an asbestos survey before work starts.
- HOA rules. Many Camarillo neighborhoods and communities have HOAs with their own work-hour, parking and equipment rules. Check your CC&Rs, or send them to us with your bid request and we’ll plan around them.
- Utilities. Electric, gas, water and sewer must be shut off or capped before demolition. Depending on the address, water may come from the City of Camarillo or another local provider such as Camrosa Water District; we’ll confirm the provider for your address. For any digging or slab work, we have underground lines marked through DigAlert (811) first.

Our church playground was removed by BRG Safely. They did a clean job and removed all the wood, poles and slides to a recycling center that the city approved of. A special thanks from our church! Excellent service!
